About the Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer II – Data & AI (Full-Stack Generalist) to help build and evolve our data platform and digital products.
In this role, you'll work across data engineering, backend development, frontend applications, and AI-powered solutions. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines, building APIs, evolving our semantic layer, and developing analytical interfaces. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers on complex architectures while independently driving defined projects from conception to deployment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the entire technology stack and has a genuine interest in applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies to real business challenges.
What You'll Do
Data Engineering & Analytics
• Design, develop, test, and optimize data models, SQL queries, and data pipelines in BigQuery.
• Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and observability across the analytics ecosystem.
Semantic Layer Development
• Build and evolve the semantic layer using Cube.js.
• Define reusable business metrics, dimensions, and data models consumed by cross-functional teams.
APIs & Integrations
• Develop and maintain Python-based APIs and integrations.
• Connect internal systems with AI services such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
AI & LLM Solutions
• Design and implement AI agents and intelligent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Enhance product capabilities through AI-driven automation and analytics.
Frontend Development
• Build and maintain React applications, dashboards, and internal tools.
• Deliver intuitive user experiences for data and analytics products.
Cloud Infrastructure
• Deploy and manage services across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Contribute to cloud operations, monitoring, reliability, and security best practices.
Kubernetes & Platform Operations
• Support and improve production workloads running on Kubernetes.
• Help ensure platform scalability, resilience, and observability.
Agile Collaboration
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, estimations, and iterative delivery processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• 2–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or data-driven product environments.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical data modeling, ideally in BigQuery.
• Solid Python development experience, including APIs, integrations, and automation.
• Experience building frontend applications with React.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as GCP or OCI.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to collaborate in a global environment.
Nice to Have
• Experience with semantic layers such as Cube.js, dbt Semantic Layer, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or other LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, or other LLM providers.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Agentic AI tooling.
• Relevant certifications such as:
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• dbt Analytics Engineering Certification
• Equivalent cloud or data certifications
Who You Are
• A true full-stack generalist who can comfortably navigate data, backend, and frontend challenges.
• Naturally curious and eager to understand the "why" behind technical decisions.
• Ownership-driven and committed to delivering complete, production-ready solutions.
• Product-minded, always considering end-user impact and business outcomes.
• A clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to different audiences.
• Collaborative and enthusiastic about code reviews, pair programming, and continuous learning.
